# How is NFT Ability calculated?

Included in the NFT staking contract is a function for adding the ability (staking power) to each NFT separately by entering the decimals or numbers in Wei.
This means that each NFT has a different ability and amount of rewards it can earn in the NFT staking pool. In this case, Dark Matter divided the ability into 10 numbers (figure 1 below)

Each NFT is backed by tokens according to their ability. Let's look at it this way, if a user has 1 NFT with Ability 3, it means they have 3 NFT backed tokens. Those 3 tokens will make the user earn 3 times more than a user who has an NFT with Ability Level 1.

### How can the user earn more?

Let's say you bought 4 NFTs with ability 2,3,6,8. The total sum of all those NFTs together is 19. In general you will earn more than someone with a total sum of 18, but less than someone with a sum higher than 19.

## How do I calculate what I will earn per day?

The Dark Matter DeFi User Interface will do this for you but the formula you need is posted below
$DMDPerSecond * abilityOfNft / totalstakingAbility$
Example:
DMDPerSecond: 0.081
Ability: 3
TotalStakingNFT: 6193 (This is the total sum of the Ability Score for all staked NFTS taken according to the moment we are writing this document).

### (0.081*3/6193 = 3,92 DMD per Day)

These values are automatically updated in the UI. The value of DMD per day can increase or decrease with total amount of NFTs being Staked in the Pool!
